Manjul Publishing House began with a dream. The dream of breaking the language barrier, the dream of making international bestsellers accessible to the Indian reader in his own language.  What seemed an almost impossible mission at our inception in 1999, has been accomplished with flying colours, through our commitment to our vision, and largely through the unstinting support and encouragement of our readers.

At a time when the general belief is that the vernacular Indian reader does not buy books, and that regional language books do not have much of a market in India, and at a stage when the general trend even in contemporary Indian writing is veering sharply towards English, we have succeeded in breaking new ground by successfully publishing quality books in Hindi, as well as Bangla, Marathi, Punjabi, Malayalam and Tamil.

In today's world, knowledge is power, and things being in a constant state of flux, it is of paramount importance to walk in step with change and innovation.  Almost all knowledge resources throughout the world today are in the English Language, and the majority of Indians not being well conversant with it, are rather unfairly deprived of a very large and constantly growing body of good and highly relevant literature.

Strengthened by this social and ideological commitment, we at Manjul have endeavored to bring out bring out quality Indian language translations of the works of highly acclaimed and renowned international authors.  We are proud to boast of such eminent names such as Stephan R. Covey, Dr. Nelson Mandela, Allan and Barbara Pease, Robert T. Kiyosaki, John Templeton, John Gray, Dr. Spencer Johnson, Zig Ziglar, Og Mandino, Dale Carnegie, Deepak Chopra etc. on our list.  We are also the ones to bring the immensely popular Harry Potter and his magical adventures to India in Hindi and other regional languages, through the exclusive Indian language translation rights that we acquired from the author J. K. Rowling.

We consider the world as our oyster and the sky as our limit, and have many more exciting things in the pipeline.  But, above all, we wish to serve the cause of the Indian reader by making available to him the very best in world literature, at a reasonable cost and the highest standards of quality.  This simple but significant premise remains the motto of Manjul Publishing House.
